Movie Summary

When Tara, a strong-willed wedding planner, is asked by her mother to bring her boyfriend to a family wedding, she panics. Her mother is convinced Tara is ready to settle down, but Tara’s love life is far from perfect. To avoid the pressure and awkward questions from her family, Tara enlists the help of her charming and easygoing coworker, Adam, to play the role of her fiancé. Adam agrees, seeing it as a fun way to help Tara and maybe even test their own connection.

As they prepare for the wedding and gradually spend more time together, their pretend relationship starts to blur the lines between what’s real and what’s just an act. Tara, who has always prioritized her career and independence, finds herself opening up to Adam’s warmth and humor. Adam, on the other hand, is drawn to Tara’s fierce determination and kindness beneath her guarded exterior. Their fake engagement leads to genuine moments filled with laughter, heartfelt conversations, and unexpected sparks.

Complications arise when past relationships and family expectations threaten to unravel their carefully crafted charade. Tara’s ex-boyfriend shows up, stirring up old feelings and insecurities, while Adam wrestles with his own doubts about whether he can be more than just the “fake fiancé.” As the wedding day approaches, Tara and Adam must confront their true feelings and decide if what started as a simple favor could turn into something real.

The film is a charming blend of humor, romance, and heart, capturing the excitement and chaos of love when it’s least expected. The chemistry between the leads brings authenticity to their journey from pretending to caring deeply for each other. Alongside the romantic storyline, the movie also touches on themes of family, trust, and the courage it takes to be vulnerable. The bustling wedding preparations add a lively backdrop, full of colorful characters and funny moments that keep the story light and engaging.
